Sewing Pattern | PDF | Wearable Hot Water Bottle Cover PDF Sewing Pattern
This listing is for a digital download PDF sewing pattern to give you instructions and templates to make a Wearable Hot Water Bottle Cover with internal hand warming pouch. It was designed by Andrea Leask of Uphouse Crafts in Shetland.
Please enter your email address at checkout. I will then email the files to you within 24 hours (ususally within a few minutes). Once you have received your pdf the item is not refundable as it is a digital product.
Note - you may need a laptop or desktop in order to print the pattern templates if you struggle to print from your phone or tablet.
This pattern is for sewers that have a skill level of advanced beginner/intermediate.
The skills necessary for this pattern are:
•Basic Quilting
•Sewing a buttonhole and attaching a button
•Working with and sewing through multiple layers
•Bag making experience would be helpful
The Wearable Hot Water Bottle was designed to be worn on your front to warm your core, with an internal hand pouch to warm your hands. It is perfect for use after wild swimming, hill walking, standing outside for a long time, pain relief and many other occasions.
The pattern was updated in December 2022 to include a section at the end that tells you how to modify the shape, make the straps removable and has a U.K. suppliers list.
This listing is for the PDF digital pattern not the physical finished Hot Water Bottle Cover.
The wearable hot water bottle cover made from this pattern will fit a hot water bottle up to 22cm wide and 33cm tall (most standard 2l hot water bottles).
Here are all the features of the hot water bottle cover if the pattern is followed:
•Thermal insulation quilted into the front of the cover to help keep the heat in and directed at the body
•Quilted back and front with wadding to help keep your hot water bottle warm as long as possible.
•Adjustable neck strap
•Adjustable waistband elastic strap for comfort
•Internal kangaroo pocket lined with super soft fleece to warm up your hands
•Rear envelope fold opening to easily get to the hot water bottle to empty and fill, plus a button to secure closed
•It is designed to be worn on your front to warm your core
•Machine washable on gentle cycle or hand wash and hang to dry
•Iron with stream to return to shape after washing
Here are some of the comments I’ve had as feedback on the finished product that this pattern will make:
• ‘ OMG I LOVE my hot water bottle cover. Thank you so much’
• ‘It’s fantastic ! Love it 😍’
• ‘Can’t wait to use it’
The wearable hot water bottle cover is called by many names - hands free hot water bottle, hot water bottle harness, hot water saviour - but one thing is for sure, everyone who has bought one has loved it. It’s the things you never knew you needed until you tried it. ❤️
Once again this listing is for a digital PDF sewing pattern, not the physical item.

Read MoreThis pattern was amazing and made something very daunting, easily do-able. Full-colour step-by-step instructions held your hand throughout. I can't fault them. I made a cover for my daughter for wild swimming and chose to make all the straps detachable so she could use it in the house as well. HidePosted on

Read MoreFantastic pattern, I'd consider myself intermediate sewer, and I've never quilted or had to do a few things from the instructions but they were so clear and the pictures where so helpful that I managed to make it in 1 day, bought the pattern yesterday and finished it today, used a mini sewing machine and then hand stitched the final thickest stitch, I modified it slightly to a back pack style just as a preference to the waistband and didn't add the button, just need to replace my temporary straps. Couldn't recommend more as it'll keep me warm walking dogs and doing odd jobs on these colder dark nights 💛 HidePosted on
