Learn to sew in Shetland with classes at Uphouse Crafts.

Are you interested in sewing but don’t have a sewing machine? Join our beginner session at the Whalsay Summer Days on the 28th of July from 10.30am to 1pm in the Whalsay Hall Rec Room.

You’ll make two key-fobs and a headband, giving you the chance to try out various techniques and stitches.

Who can take part in the class: The class is open to anyone over the age of 12.  If you are 12-16, you need to be accompanied by a parent.

What is included in the class: All materials, hardware and class notes needed to make the two key-fobs and headband.

What do you need to take with you:  A sewing machine, thread, sewing machine needles and a pair of scissors.

All other equipment you will need for the class will be provided.

NOTE: If you don't have access to a sewing machine, I have a few that can be borrowed for the class.  Please message me before booking, as I only have three available.
